Integrative Therapy

I work in an integrative approach that uses the achievements of various psychotherapeutic modalities. In each of the main currents of modern psychotherapy, you can find valuable ways of understanding human problems and suffering and effective methods of providing help. I often reach for various sources to select assistance tailored to the client's individuality and the specificity of their problems.

I am particularly close to the trend of humanistic and existential psychotherapy, which emphasises the role of an open, personal and authentic relationship between the client/patient and the therapist and the importance of empathic understanding of the client. This trend also emphasises the importance of self-awareness and self-acceptance, increasing the ability to make choices.

The integrative approach uses many of the achievements of psychodynamic psychotherapy, paying attention, among others, to the role played by childhood experiences in adult life, particularly traces of incidents related to childhood injuries, rejection, neglect, and loneliness.

We also use the achievements of the cognitive-behavioural trend, including the ability to recognise and modify destructive beliefs and automatic thoughts that negatively shape emotions and behaviour. This approach also focuses on constructive problem-solving and preparing for behaviour changes and specific life situations.
